Unattended updates spoiled us all, updates come and go, no need to ever open the app unless we want to scratch a new app itch. Between the dozen mirrors, delta index updates and our familiar palette, F-Droid Client got little complaints on the new theme, we guess that’s a good thing.
Where we got complaints were about Android 10 and older, when using the bottom buttons navigation bar, as that one will cover the “Versions” toggle. A fix is already getting positive answers, until that’s out there, affected users can rotate the screen and still interact.
Categories already grew with 20, did you scroll them a bit? Are there too many or we need more? Feed-back welcomed.

Canta was updated to 2.5.1 but the appid was changed. So this week we introduce the new Canta, “Uninstall any(*) app without root!, yes, same app name too, so if you did not install the app this week, you might want to uninstall the old one and… Ok, I see it now, same app name, same app icon? Umm, we can open each one, the old one has a “Warning” on top of the description, let’s skip, we shall install the other one, no warning and version 3.0.0.
Compose Stopwatch was updated to 1.8.3 and had a key change, if you did not install the app this week, you might want to uninstall the old one and reinstall.
DAVx⁵ was updated to 4.5-ose and brings a nice feature: UnifiedPush support. Read the changelog to get info and tutorials on how to enable this great feature for your app.
Fennec F-Droid was updated to 140.0.0 with a short changelog and many security fixes. We also got wind of something that is prepared for the next release, Fennec will support UnifiedPush.
But it’s not all roses, as version 140.0.0 broke search engines selection, basically monopoly engines were re-added and made the default, overriding the user chosen one and even deleting custom ones. We are tracking this issue in #120, and in the meantime, do check your Fennec settings and fix them as needed.
OsmAnd~ was updated to 5.1.2, not suggested yet as usual, so update manually. The improvements list is extensive and this version marks “15 years of OSMAnd”. Hands down the most used feature of a map is its navigation, and the team is working on some impressive algorithms.
Status: Ethereum Crypto Wallet was updated to 2.34.0 and these changes might need your attention specially if your current version is 2.31 or older.
